The major focus of this section of the Brazil project revolved around aspects of government and powerful organizations, quality of life and status, and history. The key questions the groups could choose to use, and adapt for Brazil, were as follows:

1.Government and Organization

• Who has the power? How is it organized?
• What are the most powerful and important organizations (formal or informal) in this society?

2.Quality of Life and Status

• What is the average person's health and happiness in this country based on medical care, life expectancy, security or opportunity?
• What groups have the most high and low status in this country?  (racial, ethnic, religious, cultural, or organizations)

3. History

• What experiences or events made a huge difference in the society?
